In it’s 45th year, this course covers current issues in antepartum and intrapartum assessment and clinical management in obstetrics. The course is designed for physicians, midwives, obstetric nurses, and trainees. The faculty instructors are internationally known through their clinical and basic research, scholarly articles, and texts.
Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
Counsel patients regarding prenatal carrier screening and aneuploidy screening;
Manage and treat headaches in pregnancy;
Appropriately manage category II fetal heart rate tracings in labor;
Describe and apply the new ACOG antenatal testing guidelines;
Describe and manage appropriate follow up of gestational diabetes postpartum;
Manage and treat selected maternal medical complications of pregnancy and delivery using evidence-based guidelines.
