Core Concepts In EP for the Allied Professional is designed to serve Allied Professionals (APs) in the EP community. It is intended to be an indispensable tool for providing fundamentally sound EP knowledge for APs.
This course will have over 20 recorded didactic lectures delivered by leading experts covering:
• Bradyarrhythmias
• CIEDS
• General Concepts
• Tachyarrhythmias
• Special Topics
Learning Objectives
- Discuss safety and quality improvement in the EP lab
- Discuss shared medical decision making
- Understand the anatomy and physiology associated with bradyarrhythmia
- Review CIED remote monitoring and remote interrogation concepts
- Recognize the clinical factors in patients that are important in influencing risk of complications and risk of ablation failure.
- Understand special considerations for adults with congenital heart disease (e.g., limited access, common arrhythmias of specific CHD lesions)
- Understand the inheritance pattern and associated channelopathy of inherited arrhythmias
- Understand medical/device therapy indications and indications for advanced therapies for hypertrophic CM
Target Audience
This activity is designed for APPs, Registered Nurses, Cardiac Technicians/ Technologist/ Therapist/ Physiologist, Genetic Counselor, and other non-Physicians seeking a comprehensive overview of electrophysiology.
