Clinical Applications of Ultrasound Contrast
-
- This video is divided into 2 main sections:
-
- Part 1: In the United States, ultrasound contrast agents are approved only for cardiac use. This program reviews the World Federation of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (WFUMB) guidelines and explains how users in the United States can incorporate contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) into daily practice. The value of CEUS as an everyday problem-solving tool, especially for liver and genitourinary imaging, is discussed.
-
- Part 2: An international panel of experts in CEUS offer insight into the use of CEUS for daily clinical practice. Topics include CEUS for renal transplant imaging, inflammatory bowel disease, and applications in gynecology, the intensive care unit, emergencies, as well as cancer treatment responses. The learner attributes addressed are patient care, medical knowledge, and practice-based learning and improvement. CME credit for this video program is available through July 1, 2018.
