Learning Objectives
After viewing this program, participants will be better able to:
- List basic concepts in imaging interpretation including pitfalls, anatomic variants and frequently missed diagnoses
- Summarize the role of imaging in the assessment of cardiac disease, including diseases of the coronary arteries and great vessels of the thorax
- Understand the role of imaging in the screening, diagnosis, evaluation and management of patients with incidentally detected lung nodules
- Understand the role of imaging in the diagnosis, staging evaluation and management of patients with lung cancer and other thoracic neoplasms
- Describe the clinical and radiological evaluation and management strategies of a solitary pulmonary nodule, including the subsolid lesion
- Describe current applications in computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance (MR) imaging, and positron emission tomography (PET) as they relate to the evaluation and management of thoracic diseases

Because of the prevalence of diseases of the chest in the general population, the course will also be of value to internists and family physicians.
