It is to be expected that a new edition will be thought through, scrutinized and always seen as something that is intended to be better than the previous edition. With the rapid change that the world is going through in all its aspects, it is imperative to adapt to new didactic proposals. This new didactic proposal comes from the desire of the editors to try to remain aligned with the current times. The book is not organized by pathology, but by anatomical blocks. In each block, the reader will be able to find everything that refers to this anatomical fraction, that is, anatomy, access routes, imaging exams and others, in addition to all the vascular pathologies that affect this segment. There are chapters that cannot be placed in anatomical blocks, or refer to all of them, and these will be included in the headings of Basic Chapters. In our view, the textbook continues to represent an indispensable tool for study, since it is the foundation, knowledge already sedimented, from which the bed adds the new, in an organized way.
