This activity reviews the rationales and objectives of forming a multidisciplinary PE Response Team (PERT). The roles of systemic thrombolysis and catheter-directed therapy for acute PEĀ are discussed. The latest evidence supporting systemic thrombolysis and catheter-directed therapy for acute submassive PE are reviewed.
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of interventional radiologists and other physicians at all levels with special interest in pulmonary embolism.
