    Statement of Need

    CME is integrated into the process for improving professional practice with educational strategies implemented to remove, overcome or address barriers to physician change. Physicians are unable to consistently integrate new information into their practices because of the ways new medical knowledge is structured and disseminated, and the time it takes to completely scan for new information. Practical Reviews publications select and translate peer-reviewed literature for practical use, therefore diminishing the barrier of time.

    Analyze the most current, clinically useful information available in the monthly journal literature covering both anatomic and clinical pathology Discuss advances in the pathologic diagnosis of disease entities including diseases of the cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, respiratory, nervous, reproductive, reticuloendothelial-hematopoietic and integumentary systems Evaluate where controversies exist in pathology Discuss the latest basic science findings and their potential impact on clinical problemsThe Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine takes responsibility for the content, quality, and scientific integrity of this CME activity.
