Matthew Hanasono – Personal profile and master videos
Matthew Hanasono, MD, is a Professor, and Reconstructive Microsurgery Fellowship Program Director in the Department of Plastic Surgery at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology Summa cum Laude at the University of California, Los Angeles and his medical degree from Stanford University. Dr. Hanasono then completed a residency in Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery at Stanford University and a residency in Plastic Surgery at Cornell University, followed by a fellowship in Reconstructive Microsurgery at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Since 2005, he has been on faculty at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He has published over 100 articles and 50 book chapters. His was the lead editor and author of the textbook Reconstructive Plastic Surgery of the Head and Neck published by Thieme and is currently editing two new textbooks on reconstructive surgery also to be published by Thieme. In 2015, Dr. Hanasono had the honor being the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery Godina Traveling Fellow and has also served as a Plastic Surgery Foundation Visiting Professor from 2017 to 2018.
