Kotaro Yoshimura – Personal profile and master videos
Kotaro Yoshimura. M.D. is currently a professor and chairman of Department of Plastic Surgery at Jichi Medical University, Japan. He received his medical degree and doctorate from University of Tokyo. After returning from research work at University of Michigan, he worked for University of Tokyo and directed his laboratory. His research interests cover skin/hair/scar biology, wound healing/angiogenesis, adipose stem cells, and regenerative medicine. He published more than 150 full articles published in Medline-indexed journals as well as several textbook chapters. He received several awards including the 38th Maliniac Lecturer in 2016 by American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). Prof. Yoshimura is currently a co-Chief-in-Editor of Journal of Plastic Surgery and Hand Surgery (JPSHS), an associate editor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (PRS) and PRS-Global Open (PRS-GO), President of IFATS (International Federation for Adipose Therapeutics and Science) 2018 conference, President-Elect of International Society of Plastic Regenerative Surgeons (ISPRES), and ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) National Secretary for Japan.
