Dr. Jin Bo Tang, an internationally acclaimed hand surgeon, is currently the editor-in-chief of
The Journal of Hand Surgery
(European Volume) and professor and chair of the Department of Hand Surgery at Nantong University in China. He founded a clinical hand surgery center in Nantong and also leads an active basic science laboratory, The Hand Surgery Research Center in Nantong, Jiangsu, China. Since 1988, Dr. Tang endeavored to uncover the keys to primary flexor tendon repairs; his work over three decades laid the foundations for various current surgical and rehabilitation methods in tendon repairs.
A prolific and active leader in hand surgery, Dr. Tang authored over 200 publications in English and 250 publications in Chinese and lectured worldwide. He founded the Association of Chinese-Speaking Hand Surgeons and sits on a number of international committees. He is considered as anactive and leading hand surgeon internationally.
