Dean Toriumi – Personal profile and master videos
Dean Toriumi, MD is a past secretary and president of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. For 12 years, he served as a director on the American Board of Otolaryngology and American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Toriumi serves as a managing editor of the JAMA Facial Plastic Surgery and is on the editorial board for Laryngoscope and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Journal. He is also on the editorial board for New Beauty Magazine. He has published many clinical papers in facial plastic surgery and co-authored Open Structure Rhinoplasty and Rhinoplasty Dissection Manual. Dr. Toriumi has published over 240 publications. He is primarily known for his expertise in aesthetic and functional rhinoplasty and stresses preservation of structural support and creation of a natural-looking outcome. Much of his practice is dedicated to secondary rhinoplasty, or correction of noses damaged by previous surgery. Dr. Toriumi lectures around the world and has given over 1,000 presentations.
