Dermatology for Primary Care 2022 (CME VIDEOS)
Dermatology for Primary Care is an online CME program designed exclusively for primary care providers and focused on total patient care — from diagnosis of common skin conditions and lesions, to developing a treatment plan and establishing skin care management. You’ll learn the fundamentals of the dermatologic exam, with an emphasis on what to look for — so you’ll know what you are looking at.
Led by Adam Friedman, MD and Karl Saardi, MD, faculty use real-patient photography to illustrate skin conditions including acne, eczema, melanoma, and other skin cancers. These real-life clinical scenarios and step-by-step procedural videos demonstrate common patterns of patient presentation, as well as how to approach patients who don’t improve and what adjustments to make when conditions change.
It’s continuing medical education that will help you answer the following questions:
- What are the most common dermatologic conditions encountered by nondermatologists?
- What are the most common and important dermatologic manifestations associated with systemic diseases?
- What is new and relevant in the medical/dermatologic arena and in relation to internal medicine?
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Discuss their scope of knowledge of basic and clinical dermatological science
- Recognize areas of weakness in their knowledge of dermatology to achieve improvements
- Evaluate and diagnose common dermatology entities
- Identify which dermatologic presentations require external referrals
- Express commitment to lifelong learning and self-assessment
Intended Audience
