EVAR Essentials (On-demand)
- IRs inerested in endovascular aortic aneurysm repair will benefit from the high-yeild discussions on many diferent creitical EVAR concepts.
- Originally presented at SIR 2017 Annual Scientific Meeting
- Expires Oct. 27, 2020
ITEM DETAILS:
This course will provide a comprehensive discussion of the current status of the role of endovascular abdominal aortic aneurysm repair. Updated results/meta-analyses from landmark long-term randomized controlled trials comparing EVAR to open surgical repair will be discussed and summarized as well as well-established and novel techniques for treating post-EVAR complications.
This program is designed to meet the educational needs of interventional radiologists, in-training physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, techs and other physicians at all levels with special interest in vascular surgery, especially EVAR.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this Webinar, participants should be able to:
- Describe the currently accepted indications for pursuing endovascular aortic aneurysm repair for AAA and the anatomic factors affecting EVAR candidacy.
- Understand the impetus behind new endograft device development and the recent feasibility trials analyzing the safety/efficacy of newly developed endograft devices.
- Discuss indications and technical strategies for repairing type II endoleaks status post EVAR
- Recite updates to landmark randomized controlled trials comparing endovascular aortic aneurysm repair with open surgical repair (including recent meta-analyses).
