2017 Advances in Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology – A Video CME Teaching Activity
This CME activity is structured as a practical, clinically oriented review of advanced ultrasound in obstetrics & gynecology. A mix of topics including fetal cardiac, central nervous system and renal imaging is presented. Gynecological focused topics include imaging in the first trimester, the non-pregnant uterus and adnexae. Tips, pitfalls, and case reviews provide balance to the program.
This program is designed for obstetricians and gynecologists, maternal-fetal medicine physicians, radiologists, family medicine physicians, genetic counselors and sonographers, who order, perform and interpret ultrasound examinations in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Assess fetal anatomy in the first trimester.
- Utilize ultrasound to assess patients with an adnexal mass and differentiate benign from malignant masses.
- Increase awareness of fetal cardiac anatomy and the assessment of the fetal cardiovascular system on ultrasound.
- Discuss the use of ultrasound in evaluation of the fetal central nervous system, gastrointestinal and genitourinary anomalies.
- Discuss the fetal adaptation to hypoxemia and the role of Doppler in the management of fetal growth restriction.
- Assess the role of ultrasound in post menopausal bleeding.
